Where I have worked
I have over 14 years experience volunteering and working front-line support at various non profits and social service agencies. I have predominately worked with children, youth and adults who are homeless & are under-housed as well as supporting survivors of violence.
Some agencies I have worked with are: Broadway Youth Resource Centre, The Bloom Group, and North Shore Women’s Centre.
I have been facilitating and creating arts based spaces and workshops for over 8 years. These spaces are rooted in Anti-Oppressive frameworks. I have facilitated arts based workshops that are trauma informed. A lot of my workshops explore themes themes of storytelling, identity, being a survivor of violence, connecting into self soothing/self nurturing practices and giving voice to ones lived experiences. The workshops are a space to delve into and move though feelings using: creative writing, visual art (painting, drawing, pastels, crayons, pencil crayons etc.) clay, movement, drama, puppets, music, voice and more.
